About the project
Having gone through several iterations, my current environment consists of a Cisco 3850 enterprise grade layer 3 core switch and distribution switch, a repurposed Dell R720 server, UPS and Cisco ASA firewall installed in a 12U rack.
Much experience has been obtained through setup and training exercises for CCNA & CCNP.
After initial configuration of the the firewall and core switch, my goal was to implement the following for my needs;
Segmented network with subnet and VLANS
Isolated Windows Server environment, with IPSec, LDAPS, Kerberos, Bitlockler GPO's for data encryption
Secure Wifi with guest access (WPA2)
RAID 10 setup for data redundancy
Host on-premises storage for security cameras and remote monitoring
Install SIEM dashboard and central logging server with Wazzuh
Automate vulnerability alerts based upon endpoint CVE's
